أعلنت شركة ديزني اليوم عبر موقعها الرسمي عن قيامها بسحب العديد من ألعابها المستوحاة من أفلام ديزني القديمة بما يصل إلى حوالي 100 لعبة معظمها مخصص للأجهزة الذكية وبعض ألعاب PC، حيث سيكون من بين هذه الألعاب Star Wars: Tiny Death Star و Star Wars: Assault Team بالإضافة إلى Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: Le Chuck’s Revenge وعدد من العناوين المقتبسة من أفلام مارفل.
وحول أسباب ذلك أعلنت ديزني أن هذا الفرار كان صعب بالنسبة لهم ولكنه جاء بسبب رغبة الشركة بالتركيز على تطوير ألعاب جديدة، كما ذكرت الشركة بأن معظم هذه الألعاب قد يكون متاح للتحميل واللعب لكنها ستقوم بالتوقف عن دعمها نهائياً وعدم إصدار تحديثات لها أو دفع تعويض مقابل الأموال التي ينفقها اللاعبون على مشترياتهم داخل هذه الألعاب.
